"Answer"
Robinson Jeffers

My notion: War is Not the Answer. It's an idea. But it could be framed as a question, sometimes, even if it is a rhetorical, or snide one: Is war the answer? And I dwell on the possibility of a world without war being picked and pushed.

(I’m not talking about a world without conflict, because maybe we need honest conflicting views to make progress. I'm talking about a world without the scourge of exploitation and harm that is war.)

I can be head-bound and indignant:

WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER

And everything stops there. But following that piece of language to my heart,  I feel the question of answers.

It's the question of response!

The head part and the heart part loop, and start to be part of the same thing.

For me, the Notions Transfer Workshop has been ongoing, but there have also been points where I know I’m really in it.

Serendipitously during the general period of beginning my workshop, I found the Robinson Jeffers poem “Answer” and that has helped.
